I am using Chromebooks with a full classroom of third graders for the first time as part of the Phase 2 Users.
I have SO much to learn: How paperless can I go with third graders? How can I communicate well with parents? What does the district expect of me as a Phase 2 implementor? What questions should I have? Are there apps I've used on iPads that I can use on Chromebooks?
I have generally been very comfortable with technology. I currently have 7 hardwired computers, 12 iPad (which I share out with a grade level) and a Smartboard. I REALLY like the iPads and am sad to be giving them up.
I'm glad you are a part of our nerd camp, Linda. You have some great questions about using Chromebooks with your students. Your comfort level with technology will come in handy as you work through this class and think about how you can adapt your curriculum to a class set of Chromebooks. They are different than iPads, but I think you'll come up with some great ideas of how to go Google. :)
